A random collection of pictures from the past couple of weeks.

This is the flag hanging over my bed. As you can see, I took my second mattress and
put it up against the wall, making a sort of couch to sit on. Trust me, it's more
comfortable than it looks.

Emily and Candace at the Kaio breakfast. On the journal page, read about the adventure
that Emily, Michelle, and I had with the car.

Candace and Amy. Amy is on my outreach team for Cairo.

Amy doesn't like this picture, but I think it's great. Yes, that's her natural hair color.

Sam, from the bay area in California.

Candace and Sam. These were taken in Fremantle.

I told you he was cute.

Sorry it has been so long since I've last posted pictures. I have lost my means
for editing photographs and, as you can see, it has slowed my picture processing a bit.
Elias was kind enough to lend me his computer for a little while, so I used that to
whip up some quick versions of what I've been doing lately. I apologize that the quality
is not up to my usual standard. I am trying to rectify this problem.

Last Sunday involved a trip into the city for lunch with Bobby, Amy, Hayli,
and Adam. Bobby went home on Tuesday night, so it was a nice way to spend a few hours.
We ate at the Carrillon food court between the Murray and Hay Street malls. This is
the stairway leading from the shops down to the food court.

Laura, this picture is for you. Enjoy.

After eating, we went out to see the sights of the city. This woman
paints herself silver and does her best statue impression. She actually
does a pretty good job at it; I see her every weekend.

This is Ye Olde London Courte or something like that. How cute.

After we split up, I went off by myself to grab some photographs. This
church is on the corner of William and Hay streets.

This is at the entrance to the tower that you saw in the background of
the last picture. As you can see, the architecture is quite different.

On the other side of the city, looking at the same tower.

In the middle is the Bankwest Tower, the tallest building in Perth.

Walking down the side streets, I found some interesting buildings.

More side streets meant even more interesting buildings.
I think this one is a hotel.

On the way back to the train station, I walked through Forrest Chase,
which is a square adjacent to the Murray Street Mall. Forrest Chase is
bordered by shops on three sides and the train station on the fourth.
The post office, pictured here, sits on one side.

I hope you enjoyed these. Keep checking back!

July 30 was Arlen and Adrian's birthday. We threw a party for them.

Sam, one of the kids on base, plays with the balloons.

Johan serves the ball.

Arlen and Mike battle over the net.

Watching the festivities.

A few people are missing from this shot, but this is most everybody from the DTS, as well as Adrian.

Adam plays guitar in the park across the street from 228.

The YWAM Perth base where everything happens.

The Claisebrook Cafe is located across the street from the base. I often buy chips and gravy from there
during morning tea. I also enjoy their shortbread cookies. The phone booth to the left always has a YWAMer
in it, making a phone call.

Hail bus. This is across the street from 228.

At the Claisebrook train station, waiting for the train to take us to the city center.

Sitting on the train. From left: Elias, Shir Li, Brandon, Candes, Sam, Filip, Arlen, Me.

After a healthy meal at McDonald's, we decided to walk to the river.

Candes sitting on a dock on the Swan River. The Swan River cuts right through Perth,
dividing it north from south.

This is the Swan Belltower. I don't know what purpose it serves, but I guess it is popular with tourists.

This is my bike. Mike's dad was giving it away, so it's mine. It needed a good cleaning, some grease on
the chain, and new tires, and it works great. I bought some tires yesterday and will be putting them
on as soon as I figure out how.

I was very excited to get the bike.

Walking back to 228. I hope you enjoyed the pictures! Keep checking back.
