Seeing as I'll be in Cairo for the next three months, I figured I'd get rid of all
the current stuff on my site for the time being, just to clean things up. Just so my
site isn't completely empty in the mean time, here are a few last photographs. The
thing that I am going to miss most about Perth (in terms of physical beauty) will be
the skies. They are beautiful on a daily basis; almost always more interesting than
what we get in southeastern Michigan. I wish I had kept my camera at the ready to
capture all of the beautiful skies; as it is, you'll see just a few. Some of these
pictures you have seen before, others not.

Starting in mid-day with big white puffy clouds.

These clouds are equally big and fluffy, but this picture gives them a bit more
context. These things look like they're miles high.

A full sky.

Wispy, thin, spreading from horizon to horizon. This picture and the two following
it were all taken in the course of just a few hours, at a skate event.

Wow!

On the train on the way back from Fremantle a few weeks ago, I was treated to this
sight. Not the prettiest sunset I've ever seen, but nothing to sneeze at, either.
That's the Indian Ocean you're looking at.

Moving to nighttime. Even when the skies are dull, they're still interesting.

Taken the same night as the last picture, in King's Park. The sky had gotten
substantially more exciting by this point.

A foggy night looking toward the city.

This building looks like something from 1984 or a film about communist Russia.

Check back soon! I'll put up Cairo pictures on my first opportunity.
